I have known Susan Raffy for over 23 years. I consider her one of the best formulating bench chemists in the industry and, it has truly been a pleasure and a privilege working with her. I have known Susan Raffy professionally for 15+ years. While working at Rachel Perry Inc., Susan reformulated many of our existing products by adding ingredients to enhance the efficacy and Susan also formulated many new products for the company. Working with Susan was so refreshing. I would give her the scope of the product, what it was supposed to do, what ingredients we wanted to use, how it was supposed to feel and smell, etc., Susan was always spot on, very rarely did we require more than 3 revisions, and those revisions were merely minor tweaking. As a business owner, Ms. Perry had complex formula’s and very high expectations and standards for the product she put out on the market and Susan Raffy never failed to live up to the standards.
I very much enjoyed working with Susan. Susan has excellent interpersonal skills, and she is able to effectively communicate highly technical information in a manner which is concise and easily understood. She listens to what the client wants and getting it right is very important to her.
Bottom line, if you have an idea for a product, you can communicate your idea to Susan, she will take your idea from a concept, to a finished good in a timely and cost effective way. Susan truly is a Rockstar Chemist!
